About Steady Up Fitness
Steady Up Fitness was founded on a simple but powerful belief: that people living with Parkinson's disease deserve more than just symptom management — they deserve to feel strong, capable, and connected.
Based in Canberra, we specialise exclusively in exercise for people with Parkinson's, offering both one-on-one personal training and small group classes tailored specifically to the challenges and goals that come with the condition. Every session is designed with your safety, confidence, and progress in mind — whether you're newly diagnosed or have been living with Parkinson's for years.
We're proud to OFFER a dedicated space where people with Parkinson's can move without judgment, build meaningful connections, and discover what their bodies are still capable of.

Head Trainer: Ashley Kaldasaun
Cert 3 & 4 in Fitness,
PWD Warrior and PWR! certified
Training Older Adults, Lvls 1 & 2
Ashley is a certified personal trainer with specialist experience working with people living with Parkinson's disease. She holds certifications in both PD Warrior and PWR!Moves — two of the world's leading evidence-based exercise programmes developed specifically for Parkinson's — giving her a deep and current toolkit for designing sessions that are clinically informed and genuinely effective.
After 20 years experience Ashley's journey into Parkinson's-specific fitness began in Ottawa, Canada, where from 2022 to 2025 she worked directly with the Parkinson's community and developed a deep understanding of how exercise can transform life with the condition — not just physically, but in terms of confidence, independence, and quality of life.
Having seen first-hand what targeted, evidence-informed exercise can achieve, Ashley returned to Australia with a clear mission: to bring that same high standard of Parkinson's-specific fitness to Canberra and the broader Australian community.
Ashley's training approach is grounded in the latest research on exercise and neurological health. Every program is personalized, progressive, and built around what matters most to you — because no two people with Parkinson's are the same.
